Nick has been involved in development for the last 13 years whilst working for leading REIT British Land Plc.  During his first two years he led the company’s development analysis, running bespoke financial models to support live and potential development projects as well as acquisitions and disposals.  

Following this he was promoted to Development Executive moving out of the analysis team and into the development department and given overall responsibility for a range of mixed use refurbishment projects.  

Having successfully led a number of projects from inception through to completion and occupation, Nick was made Development Director in 2019.  Nick has continued to lead ever bigger and more complicated projects.  These have included new build and refurbishment projects in both the office, retail and life science sectors.  His role on these projects includes responsibility for options analysis, business planning, stakeholder management, planning, design, analysis, capex management, procurement, construction, leasing and handover.

Alongside project roles he has led British Land’s de-carbonisation efforts and has been a contributor and member of both UK Green Building Council and ConcreteZero.  

Prior to British Land he spent two years working for the VOA/DVS as part of their graduate scheme.  This enabled Nick to secure his Chartered Surveyor qualification and provided advice to a mix of public sector clients including the NHS.
